Dear Market Supporter,
The season is winding down, so stock up on all your fall produce. Our last Market will be October 31st. We are needing to build our list of volunteers and supporters for the next season. Send an email to eshelbycofm@gmail.com if you are interested. We will start having planning sessions in March 2010.
MARKET AT COLLIERVILLE HIGH SCHOOL
We are excited to announce that our Market on Saturday, October 24 will be located at Collierville High School. There will be more details about this great event in one of our future newsletters. 1101 New Byhalia Road. The festival will be from 9 to 3.

TOWN HALL MEETING
You are invited to attend a Town Hall meeting at Collierville's Town Hall (500 Poplar View Pkwy). You will have the opportunity to express your feelings about the Farmers Market, as well as offer suggestions for a new location. We could really use your support at this meeting. The Market is for you, and your opinion matters. The meeting should be on 10/15 at 6pm, but we will send out a special alert when that has been confirmed.
What's In?
All your fall favorites; baked goods, peppers, greens, tomatoes, mums, and eggs (come early), honey, etc.
RECIPE
Sweet Potato Casserole
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups warm mashed sweet potatoes
1/2 cup granulated sugar
4 tablespoons melted butter
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 cup flaked coconut
1/3 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Topping:
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup pecan pieces
1/4 cup flour
4 tablespoons butter, melted
dash salt
Preparation:
Combine mashed sweet potatoes, sugar, butter, egg, coconut, milk and vanilla; mix well. Pour into a buttered 1- to 1 1/2-quart casserole dish. Mix light brown sugar, pecans, flour, melted butter or margarine, and salt. Pour over top of potato mixture. Bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes.
Serves 4.
